Round trip from Fisherman’s Wharf in a small van, with a Golden Gate Bridge photo stop and about 90 minutes in the grove.

Drive yourself

Book a parking reservation before you go. There are no walk-up spots and no cell service at the park, so download your pass first.

Rideshare, bike or hike

Rideshare drop offs work, but pickups are hard with no signal in the canyon. Trails from Mount Tamalpais also lead into the park.

How much are Muir Woods tickets?

Entry is $15 per person age 16 and over. Children under 16 enter free. Driving adds a parking reservation fee per vehicle, listed in the parking guide.

Does the tour price include park entry?

No. The tour covers transport and your guide. Park entry is paid separately at the park: $15 per person age 16 and over, free under 16.

Do I need a reservation to visit Muir Woods?

If you drive, yes. Every car needs a parking reservation and there are no walk-up spots. On our tour you do not need a parking reservation.

How far ahead can I book?

Parking reservations open up to 90 days ahead, and weekend and holiday slots go first. The tour calendar above shows open dates.

Can I use a national parks pass?

An America the Beautiful pass covers the entrance fee. It does not cover a parking reservation.
